15" 22 oz. AK by Amtrak. Superglue fix cracks in handle. Otherwise 10/10. 1/2 price delivered = $62.50

16.5" 23 ounce WWII by Amtrak. Full length crack in handle. Epoxy fix. 1/2 price delivered = $62.50

16.5" 26 ounce AK by Bura. Minor rust. 10 minutes clean up. 1/2 price delivered = $72.50

JKM-1 -- almost 8 inches and 5 ounces of very good little knife by Shanker. Horn has shrunk and pulled away from tang. Epoxy fill. $25 delivered.

Kumar Karda -- by Amtrak. Good work. 10 inches and 8 ounces. Same problem. Horn shrinkage. Needs epoxy. $30 delivered.

to swipe up that KK just because it would make a great project knife and a gift. Lots of filework, etch, and carving space!

Is it hardened properly? Uncle, did you test the edge w/ a file? What keeps me from the JKMs and KKs is that I have a few kardas that are not tempered enough and dull rapidly with mundane use. I assume that these are a different story, as they are the main knife in the sale and not a throw-in.

If it's hard, I'll pony up the 30 founding fathers. Love that yellow sheath!

JKM-1 gone

I've had two of Shanker's JKM-1s, one's hanging on my belt right now, and the other is headed to the Smoky Mountains with my father on a camping trip. Good little knives, humble but useful. Whoever got it got a good'un for a project knife, sounds like the horn slabs would come off easy enough, and it'd be a cinch to re-handle it in coco bolo, bone, or stag. Either one would be real purty.
