I built this T/C .54 left hand Renegade in the early 80s. This was the first time I went hunting with her. Didn't get a shot but I did put my good friend onto a nice doe that he tagged the last evening of the hunt. The full moon and high wind was attributed to the low harvest for this muzzle-loading season. I really didn't care the Big South Fork National Park was beautiful, walking the trails, stalking the Forest was just fantastic.

I was expecting much worse weather so I had the 12' X 12' hunters lodge and the Two Dog stove, I fired it up most nights but didn't need it or use it the last night at the camp.

Phil works at the Cumberland Mountain State Park and set the hunt and camping up for us from south Florida as a token of my appreciation I made up a neck knife and Kydex sheath for him.

I had Bikermikearchery make these blades for me. He is much better at it than I am. I sent him an etching and he sent me 10 of them, they are 1095 with a couple 01s.

A bad day hunting is rain all day and getting shot but yeah it's still better than work :)

how would you like to meet those guys in the woods.

:) I did, I'm the one in the front.

Now there's a handful of trouble if ever I saw some !! LOL;) Looks and sounds like a fine time was had by you all...

Thanks for sharing Bud !!

great pics brother, I've been down past the falls, and on the cumberland river many times, he should know of a place called dogslaughter, it's on the cumberland river!!!!!!!!!

This was the first time I camped in the Bandy Creek area. It reminded me of the Allegheny National Forest in Northern PA. Except without the huge glacier boulders strewn about.

That lodge looks fantastic! What great and inspiring pictures.

The hunters lodge is a great tent. It can be set up with a single internal pole two external poles or even tied off to the limb of a tree. I ordered mine with mud guards, two doors and a door hole to tie a pole to the center pole for a door awning. It comes in handy when the weather is bad.

You didn't go with the sports package ????

Looks like a great place to get away to
