5 Least Favourite Folder's

mission ti folder: clip is attached to the pivot screw. tighten it so the clip doesn't wobble, and you cant open the blade. loosen so you can open the blade, and the clip wobbles. terrible design. and it feels cheap. i like their fixed blades though.

don't have four others, sorry.

Dangerous knife with lousy steel. Bought one several years ago when they first came out because it looked like a cool new design. Little did I know that a tight grip on the knife can cause the lock to disengage and close on your fingers. (I have the scars to prove it.)

Applegate folder by Gerber. I love the knife but the lock was dangerous!

Anything from Taylor cutlery.

Anything with "JEEP", "Dodge", "Hummer", or "Ford" etched, printed, stamped, or scratched on it. (Dear car makers: Putting a good name on a sh!t knife doesn't make it special, dammit. :grumpy: )

A lot of knives I don't like end up in my dead knife bucket in the garage.

thx - cpr

REKAT sifu with the horrible rolling lock.

kerambits in general and tarani k'bits in particular. cutter k'bits are ok i suppose, EKI too. but i would never want one.

spyderco ayoob- i dont like the odd blade angle, lotsa folks love 'em but they arent for me.

spyderco joht singh kalsa - poorly designed imho with a big hump on the blade which invariably will catch on your fingers/hands/keys and start the blade opening in your pocket, i carried the thing 3 times and 3 times it opened up lol, not a good thing, my 1st spyderco and i swore at the time my last but that didnt last long.

thats really about it the great majority of knives made these days is pretty good.

I've had a couple Bokers, and was happy with neither. I bought both because of the gee-whiz blade material. Both were fairly pricey and constructed like knives that should have cost less than half what they did. Perhaps they do put out some good stuff, but I would inspect it in person before buying.
