I love the shape and feel or this knife, but it's too big to carry in my state. If I can something even somewhat similar it'd be excellent. Doesn't have to be as thick. Guard would be nice too.

You mean carry as an EDC? The blade length restrictions generally apply to urban carry versus while hiking or hunting. Take a look at Blackjack Classics if you like the guard and choil. I do myself. I really like the M125.

A Mora Scout model would also work perhaps. The leather sheath is pretty poor.

The SOG Northwest Ranger is a pretty nice fixed blade (in AUS 8 steel, which is not the greatest, but not the worst either). It comes with a pretty good leather sheath. I have the old version with the partially serrated blade and as a result, it does not get used. It was purchased as part of my learning stage on the attributes of fixed blade knives in terms of using.

Maybe look into a Bark River Gameskeeper or Bravo 1, and Fallkniven S1.

I was also going to recommend the 125, as well as the Blackjack Model 5. I've found, to my surprise, that the double guard does not get in the way of anything. The solid micarta handles are classy as can be, I get compliments everytime someone sees my saber handled Model 5.

This is exactly what I would recommend. I will add Bark River Camp & Trail to that list.

Love the bark river bravo 1, but not the knife I'm looking for, and somewhat out of my price range. I'll add it to a future list for all those knives I wanna purchase when I make more money after college lol.
