I have been looking everywhere for some type of container to store a 5-Pack of gum in. I carry a 5-pack in my pocket right now and it constantly gets smashed.

I saw this link but none of the suggested ideas are what I'm looking for. I really want a small container that can be attached to a key-ring preferably aluminum or some other type of metal but I believe plastic would do also. I would also like for it to be waterproof if possible.

Am I asking too much? Does a container such as this even exist?

Try an Altoids Chewing Gum tin. You should be able to fit your gum pack and have room for some toothpicks.

--- Sorry I guess I should have followed your link first---

However I stand by the Altoids tin and have been using one for just what you are talking about for the past 5 months.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'd still like to find one that you can attach to a keychain though.

Yeah, I've looked at those from Bison Designs but I usually use the stick gum. If only their containers were a bit larger then they might hold a 5-pack of stick gum.

if you have one of those Starbucks near you, they sell after dinner mints in a long tin with pop up lid. holds 5 sticks of chewy gum PERFECTLY!!

If you want to use chicklets or some other small square or round gum, the Nitro bottle cases work well. I've got 3 of them now because they are so handy and being stainless steel they are rust and crush proof. The rubber seal keeps moisture out so, no gum glued to the paper wrapper

In my case, I carry one in a pocket so that I have my meds with me all the time, plus an aspirin and over the counter allergy pill. ~$6 at the Walgreen's Pharmacy.

My main issue with an Altoids type tin is crushability and moisture. I work outside a lot and sweat heavily. Stuff melts in my pocket from the moisture that leaks in. Then there is the issue of crushing and cracking things when I am lifting or leaning into something (yeah, it will leave a nasty bruise but, since it doesn't give I just reach into my pocket and move it out of the way).
