Was just sitting back tonight getting some stuff prepared for Blade Show and thinking about the past. I went to my first Blade Show 7 years ago, 6 years ago I met Andy for the first time at Blade, and 5 years ago I bought a bunch of knives off his table becoming one of just a few Fiddleback dealers. 5 years ago it was just Andy and Dylan, and they were, and still are, 2 of my best friends in the knife industry. Hell I blame them for this hell I put myself through peddling knives for a living. With that said, I would not trade it for any other job out there.

The knife industry is chocked full of great people, but Andy for me has been one of the absolute best. I can not thank him enough for his dedication to his customers, all his dealers and most importantly to the art of custom making beautiful knives. There are very few custom makers out there that do it as well and with as much integrity as Andy and Fiddleback Forge.

Thank you to Andy and everyone at Fiddleback for all you guys do. I look forward to the next 5 years and well beyond!

Whitty

My own personal first Custom Fiddleback, the Sneaky Pete. I regret selling it but times got tough when we first started.

I still have and cherish my first Fiddleback, a bushfinger with black bolsters on jade, tapered tang, 1/8" O1. I dream of the day I get another Fiddleback in that configuration!

Thanks for posting Whitty. Its been a good 5 years my friend. Can't wait to see you at Blade Show.

Thanks for sharing this. Cool story. I'm digging the Sneaky Pete and the Delta Fox Trot.

Whitty, Shadetree's history with Andy and Fiddleback Forge has spanned about the same time period. He was an early adopter of our product and we could not ask for a better customer (and salesman). I can credit a large part of our success to Andy and we would not be where we are if Andy had not taken the risk of using our materials.

He absolutely personifies the the good people culture that is the custom knife industry.

Congratulations on the anniversary Whitty. I've read many nice stories from your customers about the tremendous service you provide to make them happy. That has a lot to do with your success. I wish you more success in the years to come.

Phil
