Hey guys, does anybody own a 50 cal air rifle? A friend turned me on to the one made by Sam Yang. Costly buggers, but I'd like to know how flat they shoot with respect to taking down game.

The Lewis and Clark expedition used a big bore air rifle for hunting big game !! Don't remember the caliber but it's somewhere around .50. It apparently worked very well. I would think it's trajectory would be like a .50 black powder rifle .

Thanks guys. When I say, turned me on to, I didn't mean he gave me one. Merely pointed them out to me. Those are some bad boys.

I'm just reading Undaunted Courage, Lewis used that rifle to "Wow" the Indians. I would have never guessed they had that in 1804!
