Hey guys
I'm looking for something for the collection
I got 50$ budget for this one (after buying the SOG seal pup elite this morning;))
Like all of you I like anything with an edge so I'm not picky but remember it will be for my collection but obviously I want something decent enough to know if I wanted to use it or pass it down to someone it would be reliable. Now I know 50 bucks won't get me top of the line, need say, but I just want some suggestions
Thanks
And remember I'm not a fan of serrated blades

Since you have no requirements listed I'll save marcinek some time and say the Opinel Mushroom knife. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425865545.794329.jpg Should work for all your needs!

Becker BK15.

Usually lists for roughly what the other midsize Becker knives do (~$60-75), but this one is going to be discontinued, so old stock is being discounted to move it out. Its currently sitting around $40-45 from most places. Great knife, and a steal of a deal at that price.

If I didn't already have one I would get an Ontatrio SP-10 Marine Raider Bowie. They were online for $48 shipped not to long ago. They are well worth that.

Buck 110 or 112, still waiting on my custom shop order, but I bet you'll like one from your local walmart anyways.
Give it a try

I had the same thought. OP doesn't specify folder or fixed, but I immediately thought BK15.

Well it's kind of funny but I ordered the bk15 last week and ordered a set of micarta scales after the fact. Unfortunately I don't have it yet :( but it's awesome you guys r recommending it. I paid 40$ with shipping for it:)
And to add I'm up for fixed or folder doesn't matter.. I love spring assist knives and am a sucker for tanto blades so if that helps

I second the mushroom knife. For that price you'll still have coin left to buy some mustache wax haha.

I would look at the Kershaw line if you want a folder. You could get the cryo and have cash left for a Norton stone. Russ

You could get a 4" Cold Steel Recon 1 tanto AUS8 for under $50. Great knife.

Becker neker, buck 110, buck 102, anything by optional, ontario rat 1 or 2 folders... You have a lot of good options out there.

Again I must say this board never disappoints with fantastic advice. There is very nearly nothing more fine, than to collect mushrooms with a nice waxed moustache in the morning all for less than $50. You really have to ask, does life indeed get any better?

Kershaw Leek. They have the Buck 110 Chairman on clearance at my local place for $51. Been planning to pick one of those up here in the near future. You could also get a nice Victorinox (or perhaps two, depending on what you get) for less than $50.

How about the Kershaw Nura - either in the 3.0 or 3.5 variety. Great knife!
