Amazing...having been watching some of the documentaries this month (some REALLY good ones out there), with the technologies of the day combined with the complexity of the mission...just absolutely incredible...

I agree it was an incredible achievement 50 years ago. The technologies developed as a result of the Apollo and other space programs have been very good for the world. I believe NASA is planning a moon mission now. China is a player now. Militarizing space is a big concern.
