I saw the sterling silver 25th Anniversary Leatherman Charge is selling for a whopping $500! According to Amazon it will be released on May 15, 2008 but I think it may also be available at the Leatherman's brick and mortar store.

It's no longer available but Leatherman had previously sold the limited edition 20th Anniversary Signature Wave (also in a display box) on their website store for $150.

Hard to believe that come 2008 it will have been 25 years since Tim Leatherman introduced his original Personal Survival Tool. Leatherman is celebrating its 25th Silver Anniversary with two specials. Check out the 25th Anniversary Wave and Charge.

Wow, those both look sweet! Kinda boggles the mind when they talk about a "limited" run of 50,000 Anniversary Waves!

If 50,000 is limited, that is a good indicator of just how popular the regular Leatherman tools are:D

That does seem like a lot.

According to this site (translated by Google):

http://www12.ocn.ne.jp/~creek1/pages/knives/leatherman/leatherman_10th_24k_.html

there were 1000 of the 10th anniversary PSTs. Is this correct?

According to this post:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307548

there were only 200 made. Anyone know for sure?

And according to Leatherman's website, there were 500 of the 20th anniversary Waves with Tim Leatherman's signature. How many were made without his signature?

There were 200 of the 10th Anniversary tools made.

No idea how many unsigned 20th Anniversary Waves were made. (Thousands I'm sure)

Yep, I got it from a long-time Leatherman employee who retired recently. He told me that the ten-year tools were offered to employees first, but wasn't sure how many were sold to individuals outside of Leatherman. By the looks of your link, some apparently made it to Japan.
