Well I am not sure how I got this many posts since October. I know I know I joined way before that but I joined on a whim and never really figured I would get this many posts.

Well here it goes. I am going to run this giveaway until I post my 500th post. This post makes 490. It may happen tomorrow it may not happen for a week or two. What do you have to do you may ask?

My Rules are simple and easy:

1. Not much really just post up "How and why you became interested in traditional knives". Easy huh???

2. Also I would like to ask that you only post if you have 25 or more posts in the Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades subforum.

3. Lets keep this in the US. Sorry guys.

4. Lets try and keep it one post only. I know sometimes its hard and you want to comment so I will take your first post as your entry.

Now for the knife. Actually I have two and the winner can pick. First is a Buck. Sorry for not keeping it traditional but its a liner lock.

Next up is another Buck. This is a Buck Protege. It is slightly used but its a giveaway. I will snap a pic of this one tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who have answered questions for me and read my long winded posts that sometimes go on and on. Just like this one. Thanks again and good luck to all that participate. I look forward to your stories.

Nice giveaway...

How did I get interested in traditionals? That's easy...when I was a wee lad that was all there was...tactical are much more modern than I am so I grew up with traditional knives.

HAK, thanks for the chance. BTW, whenever I see your avatar, I think of the cosmic baby at the end of 2001, a Space Odyssey, only maybe they're holding a slippie!

Like Abs, I'm old enough to have not known anything but traditional knives for most of my life. I've also been an outdoorsman for close to 50 years, so like the feel of good wood and steel (bone and stag, too!). I remember seeing my first BuckLite and thinking, "Oh, my god, a plastic handle!?!"

I use to rabbit hunt and fish for catfish with dad since i was a tot. He gave me a gas station pocket knife to help with the cleaning. Had a knife in the pocket evre since. Thanks for the giveaway.

First thanks for the chance. Second I like all kind of knives but for some reason a traditional just feels better. I remember before my dad died (i was 7) he always carried a Schrade Old Timer. I wish I knew the model and everything. I also wish my mom still had it. Thanks again and congrats.

Thanks for the chance. I became interested in Traditionals when my Great Grandpa gave me his old Case Whittler and bought himself a new one. We used to sit on the porch and whittle branches off the Maple tree. We never made anything, just sat together and whittled away...

Thanks for the chance to win the knife.

My interest recently turned to traditional knives because of my grandfather and his influence on me through his life.

Well I waited a while to post this one. I ran a random number generator and KnifeCrazied is the winner. Thanks for the responses. KnifeCrazied which one do you want? Its your choice just let me know and shoot me a message with your address.

Thanks for the giveaway but I'll pass and let some of the other Forumites a chance to win, as for how I got started?

Let's just say one day I held a vintage Robeson in my hands and I've been a collector/accumulator since then, nearly 30 years. :)

I received the knife today and I love it. I'm going fishing tonight and my new little Bass Buck will be going with me. Thanks so much for the giveaway.
