Good evening, Beckerland. I have been on a bit of a hiatus from various forms of social media in recent weeks. While the break has been nice, I have missed "hanging out" with you guys here in the Becker subforum. I am going to take a few days more of a break, but when posting a knife for sale in the exchange tonight, I happened to check and notice it was my 499th post. Seemed a shame to leave it there....and I had always planned on doing a giveaway when I hit 500 so here we go!
You folks are all top knotch and classy individuals (which does not hold true in some other areas of Bladeforums I have learned). I have laughed; I have learned. And I have occasionally drooled on the screen of my phone from the seeing the amazing mods you all make on these fine blades, the places you guys visit, and the food you eat while you're there. I look forward to seeing more in the future as we interact in our little corner of the interwebs here.
Since (including this one) 302 of my 500 posts on Bladeforums have been in the Becker subforum, this seemed the perfect place for a giveaway. So, here it is:
1) You must be 18 years old (or have your parents' permission).
2) You must be a numbered Beckerhead.
3) Create a post that includes the words "I'm in," your Beckerhead number, and a picture of your favorite Becker that you currently own.
Easy enough!
I will let this run until midnight ET on February 1. I will then use a random number generator on February 2 to determine the winner.
The prize: I will drop ship a brand new BK11 to the lucky winner. It will also include some other fun little outdoor/survival item so I can get the total up over $35 so I can get free shipping from the big river site.
Finally, thanks to Mr. Becker for designing these fine blades. I have enjoyed everything I've been able to do with these knives from simple chores in the yard to smashing an old birdhouse for fun to chopping wood for a fire. I hope we have you around for a long time, Mr. Becker.
