Well, I'm close to my 500th post and in tradition I'm going to be giving away one of my first knives! The Buck Mayo Cutback.
It is the knife that got me interested in framelocks which led me to my life-partner, my Small Regular Sebenza.
This knife has been sharpened about 1000 times on every kind of sharpener possible, I tried free-hand on it, sandpaper/mousepad, gatco, lansky and finally the edgepro which I should have got right away...
The blade is not centered, but it isn't rubbing and it was that way since I got it. And there is some blade play, it's def. not a sebenza, but it's pretty close in size, I put a picture of it for comparison.
It's def. not the prettiest knife out there, it's been used and abused but but I think it was a pretty good value at the time. It's one of the earlier models which got the 440c blade, it's sharp...not toilet paper slicing sharp, but it's sharp, I put a microbevel on it a while back and it's seen use since then, but it's been sitting on my workbench for the last year or so, so it's ready for a new home.
Rule(s):
1. Open to anyone/anywhere period, if you are a member you are eligible.
2. One entry/post per person
That's it.
It will stay open until I reach my actual 500th post and I'll use a random number drawer, with your post number being your number and i'll ship it out the next day.
