I would like to buy some of the old sharon steel 170-06 knives, primarily kitchen/slicer/fillet type. But I don't know what knives to look for. For instance is the case xx old forge knives 1095 or 1095cv? any suggestions on knives to look at would be appreciated. Does the 1095cv look the same as 1095 or is it a different color? Also did they chrome plate this steel before stainless came out? thanks

Most of the post Mike Stewart era Marbles knives were 50100 or 0170-6 I do believe. Camillus made quite few blades for Marbles at one time.

Ontario Old Hickory kitchen knives are 1095. Great knives, but take a little work to get them to perform.

Do you happen to know a link where I could look at some? thanks.

You could Google Marble knives Images and look. Also you might look on evil bay. These knives are usually stamped just Marbles or Marbles U.S.A on the tang. You kinda need to be careful as some were made offshore. You could also Google Marbles knives 0176-6. Hope this helps.
