I own a Buck 503 that I have had since the early 80's. The blade broke at the tip when I was out hunting, using it to dress a deer. I dropped my larger Buck while in pursuit of a wounded buck, unbeknownst to me at the time. So when I found the downed stag I only had my little 503 to work with. I did get the dear field dressed enough with my little Buck. When I got home I was so upset about breaking my Buck I just cleaned it and put it back in the box and into my safe.

The other day I was cleaning out my gunsafe and found it in the corner. I was told Buck stands behind their blades from breakage so I though I would check in here to see if that is so. I miss ol Buck!

thanks

They will fix it if you send it in, but whether or not they will do it under warranty I can't say for certain. I'll go out on a limb though and say I'd bet they would, they've replaced blades for me under warranty that were broken due to misuse (not mine, I got them already broken).

Fantastic! The paper in the box gives this address to send it to-Buck Knives Inc., POB 1267, El Cajon, Ca. 92022. Still the same?

Heck I even have this little paper in the box that says 'A word from the Chairman of the board of Buck Knives', a man named Al Buck.

I actually have an extra box. Had bought one a few years prior and lost it. Loved it so much I bought another.

Buck left California in 2005 and moved to Post Falls, Idaho. Their address is now, 660 S. Lochsa Street, Post Falls, Id. 83854-5200.

Don't send it addressed to "Buck Knives", send it to BKI. I'd also mark it "Attention Joe Houser" and enclose a note telling him exactly what you want. I say that, because sometimes they simply replace the knife rather than repair it. If you are attached to your knife, be sure to tell them that and that you want it fixed, not replaced.
