Hi Armand,

I think I can see some of the Snow Leopard hair in your close up of the scale;). Cool little spotted knife, thanks for sharing it.

JB, glad you like it... It's different... Thanks for looking... ... ITE

Very Cool! I've seen so many cool knives on here. I never
ever realized Buck made so many variations!
Regards Sonny

Good question... Some kind of plastic... Maybe David M or JB4570 might know or somebody here on the forum can tell us... ITE

Ok when this knife was issued (2001) you could get the 505 Poly-Snow Leopard or the 505 Stone-Malachite. Also at this time you could get the 503 Poly-Sea Blue or the 503 Stone-Spinney Red. Just don't ask my Poly-What, as I don't know. Now in 2002 the 503 was offered in bonded Stone, Purple Sunset and Blue river agate. Please note the dates I stated are from the dealers catalogs, they could have been issued earlier via flyer or mid-year catalog that I don't have access to.

Well then, here are the Ultima1 (pearl or poly pearl??), the poly snow leopard and the stone (poly?) malachite.

Some kind of plastic - that hits the point I think.

Best,
