510 Classic with 500 blade?

Hello all,

I recently bought 510 Classic, but it came with a mirror finished blade marked "500>". From reading here I know that the blade is of 1987 date, but have any of you come across this before?

What do you think I have?

You have a 510 Classic. Buck would do that. That model holds the same blade as the 500 Duke and the 510 came with a mirror polished blade. By that date the Classic series was winding down and about to be discontinued so, this could be why yours has that blade in it. DM
