A new design I've been playing with. Forged 5160, 5/16-1/8" distal taper w/differential quench.
New wrap design as well, intended to keep the cord from shifting too much even without epoxy or cyanoacrylate soak.

They look incredibly utilitarian. They look like they'd be impressive light choppers. I don't suppose we'll be seeing a testing thread?

We're about to get snowed in again, but as soon as we're dug out I'll get out and do some cutting-just gotta find stuff that isn't frozen...what little cutting I've done suggests that the point of percussion is pretty far out towards te tip, which would be useful.
