How thick is this?

Just shy of 3/8" at the thickest, distal tapered to 3/16" or so at the butt.

What's it weigh as pictured? Could you add a spike or hammer poll? A hawk without a trailing mass looks and feels funny to me.

Twentysomething ounces- don't have an appropriate scale handy. I can do them with trailing mass (see the Igorot style axes i put up with this one), but these feel pretty good as they are- about like a similarly weighted bolo or pinuti.
