I mentioned this knife some time ago in the custom forum. Its the one that the customer wanted diamond wood on and I refused / talked him out of that idea. He's very glad I did. Its a user and I think he will draw the attention he wants when he uses it a scout jambories.
I destroyed the other knife from this billet during testing. When it did break it broke clean with very fine grain showing no layering along the break. I am very pleased with the outcome and have to give thanks to Randel Graham, Brian Lyttle and Rick Dunkerly for the damascus lessons during past Western Canadian knifemakers symposium.
This the first compleatly self made damascus knife that I have sold. :) feels good:)

Holy Robert! I am going to have to genuflex in your presence the next time I see you:). Truly that is a beautiful piece!! I think it would've looked better though with a nice, multicolored piece of dymondwood instead of that cheesy old burl (ha,ha).

Wow Robert, I am very impressed with that damascus (and with the knife you made from it). You use my two favorite steels. What more could I ask for? :)

Beautiful knife. You should feel fantastic!

Huge I'm going to make you 10 dymondwood toothpicks. Guess where they go????:p
