I just started selling my knives and thought I would show you what I've got on my table right now. It is a little ergo hunter of sorts and here are the specs so far:

8.75" long .180" thick 52100 knife with a 4" blade from tip to plunge, 4.75" handle. I saw some sweet guardless hidden tang hunters coming out of Europe and decided I would try to adapt that style to a full tang. I just finished the triple guench and decided to snap some pics and see what y'all thought of the design. To be honest I'm a little on the fence with this one. here it is:

I like it and when it comes out I just might try one to see if it likes hunting with me.! Will wait to see the final show and price of course.**

Thanks wolf man! It will be dressed in micarta. Black bolsters with brown scales and .125" brass pins Contoured coke bottle handle.

OK. This knife has taken a journey of sorts. It started with the blade in the first post. I had actually made two blades of the same shape I drilled different holes for the handle scales in each of blades and decided before I actually try to finish and sell these knives. I needed to see how my heat treat went. I heated both of these blades with a torch and quenched them a total of three times each with a temper at 400 deg f. three times. And then decided to break the blade that is pictured in the first post in my vice. The heat treat turned out very well. Very nice small and compact grain Along the fracture.

I ended up finishing the second blade a total of two times because I didn't like the pin placement, the scales, the finish on the blade and the fact that the tang just didnt look right without it being tapered. The pics are a sequence of what this project has gone through.

Please let me know honestly what you all think. Your opnions really count.

Thanks,
Andrew Finnie

Your blades are great. Nice lines... simple elegance. The only thing I might change is on the knife with the two-color handle. The pins look a little too close to the ends for my taste; but overall I like the design.

Thank you very much sir! Ha that's actually what I did to tell you the truth. The black linen micarta one is actually the two tone handled one with different clothes on:-) I very much like the simpler design of the single scale with three pins and the orange liner.

Thanks again for your Input. Much appreciated

Andrew
