This is a 52100 integral done for a forum member. It's been sent to Paul Long for him to do his magic, then to get photographed by a REAL photographer, not sure who it's going to be.

This was forged out of 1" round stock with the blade at 5 1/2" and OAL 10 1/8". Stag scales with black liners, NS pins that have been domed and textured, Sheffield clip, thumb patch and tapered tang.

Hope you like it.

Those integrals you're doing are just clean and slick, Mike, and this one is so good looking with that stag and tiny black liners.

Awesome work Mike, I don't know how but everyone looks better than the last one.
I now have three knives from Mike with another two on order and I consider him a real star in ascendance and one of my favourite bladesmiths. Keep em coming Mike:D:D:D

Fantastic piece Mike!!!

One detail that I think is lost on many... is that crisp transition in the clip from one plane to another. To have two very small bevels meet at such a large angle like that, and keep that delineation between the two... is VERY VERY difficult to pull off.

These fine details are what show me, without a doubt how dedicated you are to achieving the best possible fit and finish.

Just a wonderful knife Mike! :)

That is one incredibly beautiful and sleek knife!!! Great work!!

And in one of my favorite steels.

Wow. Very nice. Clean lines, beautiful handle material. Integrals never get boring!

Kind regards,

Jos

^^^ What they said... +1. :D

Nick beat me to it! I love the way the swedge starts before the clip-- an ingenious twist.

The slender lines of the entire package look both functional and beautiful. Exceptional design, Mike. Congrats.

Great knife Mike!

Very clean and classy. You know what my favorite part of this knife is? It's the cool, clean little line where the clip transitions from following the spine to where it starts dropping toward the point. Very nice!

All these glowing comments from just a picture! It arrived in my shop yesterday and it is SOOOOOOOOO much better than the picture. It feels great in hand.....that is missing from the picture.

Great job, Mike. I know Tom is going to be very pleased.

Paul I hope you are not "coon fingering" my knife! :D

This post is for Mike and Tom. Here's the little knife with it's brand new sheath, all ready to go to Coop for some portrait work.

That's prime Canadian Beaver Tail throat and tip with carved quilt design between.

The third picture is representative of what the sheath looked like this morning. Just a pile of leather and the pattern and a few findings.
