Another recently finished piece. I was inspired by the recent JS submissions and thought to try a satin finish on 52100 this time.
I discovered not only the beauty in this kind of finish but the ruthlessness as well.
There is a ghost of a temper line up near the spine. Just can't get rid of them I guess.

As mentioned the blade is 52100 at a length of 4 3/4" with a wide profile. The OAL is 9 7/16".
The fittings are 416SS with copper and black g10 and the wood is a killer piece of Koa from Mark at BurlSource.
I have had this piece of wood for over a year and just couldn't bring myself to use it. I have a few pieces like that, so nice that I don't want to use them.. I did a video to try to show the chatoyance..
The other side of the knife looks the same..
