I have not carried any of my Military's for awhile and thought I ought to exchange the ZDP189 Endura for one of the 7-8 that I have. I have the Military in 52100 and pulled that out. Edge needed to be touched up, - got the Sharpmaker out and was duly impressed with how easy it was to get a very sharp edge - I mean really sharp. I carried and used it for a couple of weeks and was pleasantly surprised at how well it was holding the edge. I remember that Spyderco was planning on bringing the Para 2 out in the same steel and since I like the Para almost as much as the Military, I thought I ought to investigate and see if that model had come out on the market and if so, were any available. Well, to those more informed than me, yes they had been out and long enough, I thought, to be sold out. Much to my surprise, there were a number of shops still setting on inventory so I promptly ordered. It showed up yesterday and needless to say, I am very impressed. Not quite sure why they are still out there especially with how quick the red 390's went. Anyway, thanks Sal, for a great knife in a great steel. I guess this is why I keep spending all my money with Spyderco.

Unfortunately, I think most knifers are more interested in how their knife looks, than performs. Take for instance the BHQ Military M4 exclusive they have discounted.

I do admit that I’m still not entirely enamored with their natural G10, I did pick up one to swap into a Fluted Ti Millie but the action is so exceptionally smooth that I couldn’t bring myself to disassembling it.

My 52100 PM2 is in my pocket right now, I like it a lot. Also, I think the natural G10 looks really cool.
