butch....i love the blade and handle...the countouring looks like it would feel great....the only thing i don't like is the color of the dyed maple....i think it'd look better with a more natural colored wood for the spacer....wicked for sure....52100 at a high hardness!-sign me up boss!....ryan:thumbup:

this is a nice looking knife.
 from BC.

thanks guys
i can tell you this tho pinning with copper rod stock is no fun thats the 2nd block of walnut as i messed up the first on driving the pin in the handle through the tang

This seems like an evolutionary piece for you Butch. You have some heavy hitters commenting on this one. :D

I must always get better at my job
i also must remember that there is a need for both high quality users and also dress knives that still know what work is and can still hang with the down and dirty crowd

so far as the copper looking better as it gets sme age to it thats why i picked the red/green dyed spacer. it should all meld together nicely if left to patina but also looks nice when kept clean.

never thought of how it would look in time butch....good point...u gonna have this one in pa or is it an order?.....ryan

Very nice, Butch. Seeing some of your recent work, I hope it does not mean you are leaving the kitchen cutlery arena, does it???

so far as kitchen knives go

im still making them and im also making straight razors
i like to rotate around that way i don't get sick of grinding one type or the other too fast
