524 Timeout Errors

In the "Recommendation? Best axe ever made" thread in the axe subforum I'm unable to submit a particular bit of text I had typed and keep getting a 524 timeout error when I attempt to edit it into my post. I also cannot post it as a fresh post. I was having the errors initially and then restored auto-saved content that was missing the block of text (unbeknownst to me at the time) and then was able to post it. But going in and tinkering with the words in the original text doesn't seem to be doing anything either...it won't let me post it or edit it in. Not sure what's up with that.

I've had similar things happen in the past. Almost like a certain word (or series of words) was preventing it. I've usually had to edit the text until it finally takes.

Yeah. The problem in this case was that it was a large enough block that I had identified as the problem (within an already large post) that searching for the error-inducing word or sequence would have been time-prohibitive. I ended up just retyping the section from scratch in a separate post and it took.

likely database need to be optimized, give it more cache, tune up
