531 - finally fixed

531 is a really nice EDC, but it also has several drawbacks:
- weird, pointy thumbstuds that give no traction to a thumb but catch a pocket easily,
- "horns" at the end of the handle that make it uncomfortable to hold,
- ugly two-tone G10,
- no deep carry clip.
I have finally fixed them all :D

Can you please show me the blade closed on your 531? Curious to know what thumb stud was used as a replacement, and what the blade gap looks like? My 531-1501 doesn't looks like there's enough room for this mod. Thank you in advance.
 
The thumb stud is from 484 Nakamura (I had to slightly shorten the thread). As you can see there is enough place for it.

Thanks :) The colour is black with blue shades, effect of keeping G10 a bit too short in black Rit-Dye ;)
 
I rounded off one of the butt flares that the edge of my hand would always catch on if I had to go all the way into my pocket for change (or whatever).

Thanks for the info on using the 484 studs. While I don't have a problem with my 531 that's a great solution, and does require a small stud like that one.
