Jeff:
I am trying to get a 532 Jigged Bone model.
Several people from this forum bought them from Top of Texas Knives, but Top of Texas' distributors are completely out of stock!!! Could you possibly point me in the direction of a mail order store that might carry this! thanks!!!!!

Jeff,

Try Chris again... I understand he may have located more but I also hear that the distributor prices are up. You're unlikely to find one as cheap as Chris was able to offer them before. His price will be up too unfortunately.

Bob
I have great news. I was WILLING to purchase a 532jb from Top of Texas knives and pay the additional markup. Marti told me that if I wanted one that badly she had a better idea. Chris kept a 532jb for himself when he ordered your knife and he sold it to me at the same low price of $41.00!! How's that for service! Thanks sooo much, Top of Texas!!!!!! Bob, you really have me hooked on the 532s! I was wondering....do you think that Jeff Hubbard might be able to sell some of those walnut 532s to forum members. I know that you want one! So do I! Maybe Kodiak wants one too! I know that Buck can't sell directly to us but maybe they can sell to Top of Texas or Bladeforums. They have 500 knives made for overseas sales. Maybe they could spare four or five 532 walnut models for some loyal Bladeforums members!

Jeff,

Great news about your getting a 532JB... it is a really nice piece. Greg loves his too.

If I understood correctly the walnut 532 was a special order from an European distributor that Buck was satisfying. I suspect we're a bit late to have tried to muster some forumite interest to justify extending the run and having those extra units made available here. Actually I think you're correct that just Greg, you and I have expressed interest.

As you know I really am fond of the 532 design. But to be practical, it doesn't attract the sales that some of the more trendy designs available from so many manufacturers do today. I doubt we'd have enough forumite interest to move Buck. Jeff has been asked if there are any overrun pieces available that forumites might be able to obtain but I haven't seen any public comments yet which doesn't bode well.

WHAT YOU MEAN THAT I DON'T HAVE A 532JB ANY MORE, HEADS WILL ROLL MULTITUDES WILL BE BURNED AT THE STAKE "MARTI YOU'VE HAD IT NOW". Just kidding hehehehehehehe!!!!. Hey you guys I didn't know that I wanted one of these knives till yall started ordering them. I got to tell yall that Buck did it right when they came up with the 532. Hey maybe we could start the 532 Club yea yea and I could be the pres. yea, yea, and OOPS I forgot I don't have one anymore (pout, pout). Just kidding again hehehehehe.
Ok guys seriously ( yea right Chris) no really. If Jeff thought there was away to get those knives I would be glad to help.
You know maybe someone could post some 532 picks on the Forum and generate some interest and if there is enough maybe we can get Jeff to do a 532 just the formites and maybe I could keep that one!!! hehehehe.
I am really glad that you fellows like the knives, and I hope that my poor attempt at being a comedianis is taken well. Your Fat little buddy in the Texas Panhandle.

Chris,
that sure was nice of you to help Jeff (J AlanClay) out by selling him the 532JB you had put away for yourself. I'm quite pleased with my sample I can tell you

!

Ever see the 531? Its a larger version of the 532. Personally I like the 532 better but just thought I'd mention that this exists. Then there is the 535 Bucklock 2 with 2 blades.... Interesting series, all with filework and Nickle-silver fixtures.

bald1 I hope you know that you are going to get me killed. Now I am going to have to go and find them, and just hope that Marti does not kill me. No I haven't seen those knives but they do sound interesting. The search is on. By the way, I went and bought back the 532JB so I am still in the club. I guess I will send it back to buck to have it fixed, Jeff are you lurking. Hey yall I posted some of my privite collection for sale, check it out.

Hi Guys,
I have to add that I love that 532 model, too. Chris, I really appreciated you inspecting that first knife for me. TOT Knives does a great job.

If that 532 Walnut scale version was available, I would jump on that, too.

I like the 532 so much that I am offering in the For Sale section to trade a NIB micarta Jess Horn for the regular 532 version just to complete the collection.

Hey Bob, come to think of it, you would look really good in a Micarata Horn. All you would have to do is ship my your old 532 and I'll send you the Spydie.

! Knew you'd find that 532JB to be a sweet knife.

Jeff, thanks for the heads up on the 532MS. Looking forward to receiving it.

Chris, you kill me honestly. I almost fell off my chair laughing at your antics. I did look over your list but am afraid that I can't help you our with any action.
Don't break yer neck looking for 531s or 535s as they were last made in 1991 as far as I know.

...and good ol' Greg. Hope your trip was restful

. Check yer e-mail guy. And gee, wasn't I nice enough to part with a pristine NIB 110NE you lusted after? Now its my original 532+? Actually I know where one is offered but at original retail (Northwest knife collectors). If you don't have the URL let me know.

UPDATE: just checked...their April catalog is gone with May online... no 532 there either so its been sold. Sorry.

Ok guys, I hope I start a fight. Today I was looking around for some Bucks that I could not find, because as I just read they have not been around sence 1991 "thanks bald1!!!" no wonder everbody that I talked to trying to find them started laughing so hard I couldn't understand them "thanks bald1!!!". Just kidding hahahaha. But what I did find was 2, count them 1, 2, hahahahaaaa. Welllll you say, 2 what, hahahahaaaa, and I say "whatchoo tawken about" hahahahaaaa. Allllright!! I'll tell you what I asked them. I asked them if they had anymore knives left and they said yes, hahahahahahaha. I asked if they had any more Master Series left, and they had 2 501M Squires. So being the nice guy that I am, I am getting one for myself. Nowwww this is were the fighting starts, kind of like seeing which one will get the last drink of water out in the desert, hahahahaaaa. Ok ok, I know it is not a 532 , but I am trying to be controlling here. Do you mind?. Ok guys all joking aside hehehehehe. I found 2 of them. If one of you would like to have one let me know. I have never had a knife in BG-42, and I have heard that it is a great steel, so now I will get to find out. Now if yall are getting of tierd of my lame attemps at being a comic, blame it on bald1. A little bit of praise goes a long way. JAlanClay, I am really glad to see that you like the knife, I know I did. The 532 is really a great knife. What I would like to see is the knife with a thumb stud and maybe a clip. A true gentelmans one handed knife, a knife with class. It would not be intemidating, and yet very useful. Hey Kodiak PA, I say keep the Spyderco, because it is a great knife also. And just hope that I put a 532 in our monthly give away and you win the knife "NOT" hahahahaaaa. Yall its been fun jawin with ya. Jeff, could you give me a little direction on me send my 532JB in for some repares. Catch yall latter, your fat little buddy in the Texas Panhandle
