Yesterday, I acquired a 2000 model Buck 532RD without a nail pull. I don't mind the absence of a nail pull, in fact I think it gives the knife an "old-timey" look. One side of the tang is stamped:
BUCK
532 ]
U.S.A.

The other side is stamped: BG-42.

Are nail pull-less 532's common?

I just toook a lok at mine and all have the nail nick.I have an ironwood and two of the walnut handle with BG42 steel.
it seems a little odd yours doesn't have the nail nick.I'm sure someone here has the answer.I really like the 532 makes a perfect small game and bird knife with the slim blade profile.
