I picked this up on the secondary market, and I see that there are some clever counterfeits out there. As far as I can tell this is legit. What do you think?

Looks good to me. They changed their first production font recently AFAIK

i don’t think i’ve ever seen a counterfeit first production run of a bm knife before. usually that’s a good indication that it’s legit, especially with the box having the fp markings on it as well

OK Knives has a counterfeit 533-3 that has first production on the blade.

damn, that’s a new one on me. people suck

Fortunately, there are slight differences between their counterfeit 533-3 and a real one that can be spotted if you look closely.

They have counterfeits of a significant portion of the lines of Benchmade, Spyderco, ZT, Kershaw, Microtech, Protech, and Extrema Ratio. Some are pretty good copies. Since they are based in China (surprise, surprise) I don't know if there is anything that US based manufacturers can do to stop them. You would think that they could get a judgement that would block the OK website for all US users. China blocks various websites internally, so I don't see why we can't do it for blatant IP theft.
