Anybody have one? I'm thinking about ordering one but haven't seen many reviews.

I just got one last week. It's a comfortable and very handsome knife, especially with the S30V steel. One thing in particular that I look for: like my ZT Hinderer 550, the blade length ratio to handle length is very close. Both knives are
a bit hefty, but I like large blades. Solid lock up and very fast opening. The only downside is that the wood slabs with the metal covers look clunky to me. If Buck offered some elk or other option for the handle I'd be on it. At around $80 from KnifeCenter
it's a good value.

Pics soon. I got my 15 year old son the 546 model. Very similiar. Beautiful fit and finish.

I know there built off the Alpha hunter folder with some changes to styling they should be very stout. I've been tossing around the idea of getting the S30v version of the open season boning knife and have been procrastinating on getting the Moose skinner for my kids for Christmas this year.

Very similar in some ways to my 277 Alpha Hunter. The 547 is longer and more substantial feeling in every way. The Alpha Hunter sometimes feels like you're holding an egg, but still a great knife. It's just that the 547 beats it in all respects if you like a big blade. The 547 feels like a fixed blade when open because of the length and balance plus the liner lock feels more substantial. It really bites into the base of the blade too. Very firm and secure. Prefer the S30V over the ATS34 as well.

Is the pocket clip reversible on these? Is the flipper usable as such, or is it more of a guard?

The clip does not look to be reversible. The flipper is really more of a guard. However, on the 547 (this knife) and many other pocket knives you can easily "flick" open the knife in an instant with a wrist snap.
Faster and easier than using a flipper and it doesn't involve using your finger.
