I wonder how this knife is? Does anyone here have this model? I see it looks like they have changed from the oval hole to the round one. I also see it has a hollow grind. Any opinions on this newer model? Is hollow ground better? What about the round hole? I have not owned one so I do not know. I was thinking of purchasing one and I wonder if I shoudl go with the older model with the oval hole or the newer model.

The round hole works better IMHO, but umh..I'll let the Spydie/BM wars hold at bay.

The hollow ground will slice better too

Thank you GarageBoy. I am not sure what you mean by the Spydie/BM wars. My knowledge is in traditional slipjoints and Buck knives.

It depends on "Your" fingers/hands, their strength and size, and what feels good to you. Different people like different size/style of holes and or thumb studs, for different reasons, it's an individual thing. I would suggest trying out several models then picking the one that you like and fits you best, could be any of them.

My understanding is hollow grind is sharper than other grinds, but the thinner edge doesn't last as long as others. I've read skinners like the hollow grind for fast/easier material removal. Like everything, it depends on what your going to use it for and what you want.
Personally I like flat grinds for edc.
