551 H2O Griptillian

I bought my best friend an H2O a while back. It has the X15 steel, but the website now shows N680 to be the replacement.

He lives on Maui and spearfishes a lot as well as hunting pigs/deer. He is impressed with the edge-holding abilities and corrosion resistance.

I had an X15 one and miss it - I kept an Orange Ritter instead of the H2O model, and I'm not sure if I prefer this one over the H2O version.

As far as i know the steel has since then been changed to N680. As i can not tell you a lot about the particular knife i can tell you that the Steel, N680 is pleasing to use. I own a 915 Triage and using an Edge Pro Apex sharpener i am able to hone the edge down to sharper than it was from the factory and it holds up like a sherman tank. Only good things to say about it.
