Just ordered a GEC #56 Weaver Jack in Cocobolo wood... man I'm excited! This will be my first GEC, I'm used to Case's as far as traditionals go. I love the sheepsfoot/hawkbill hybrid blade with the swedge and long pull, accompanied by a good clip and pen blade. The cloud shield (if thats what its called) is lovely... I could go on for ever...

So boys and girls, what should I expect from this beautiful GEC?

I don't one one anymore, but I had a single blade Weaver EO. I think I'd like one of the three blade jacks. They are just cool knives.

Its a great a knife, I'm a pretty big fan of the main blade myself. The clip is a nice touch but has a slightly harder pull, which doesn't bother me much but just a heads up.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's the only GEC that utilises three springs/three layers.

Beautiful knife for sure. Loving that cocobolo. My primary edc is an 85 in cocobolo with long pull and cloud shield. Just loving it. Post some more pics! Enjoy!

P.S. You inspired me today...when I went to walk out the door to go for dinner with the wife I grabbed my weaver jack. Such a cool main blade on that thing.

Thanks gents, I stand corrected :P I always assumed that the #79 was a split spring, see what happens when you make an assumption ;)

My dad recently picked up a single bladed version in antique black bone. I was very surprised at how much I liked it! That hawkbill blade is very useful.

I think what Paul might have meant is that it's the only GEC knife with three blades abreast with three thick formation rather than blades on opposite ends.
Here's my single-blade tackling some garden tasks earlier in the year. That semi Hawk blade gets sharp! Thanks, Will
