Darryl, can you say VIRUS???

Nah,,,I have enuff 560's. Unless maybe the thicker older ones with vertical hole walls and the offset edge come up. I like those a lot more than the thinner tapered hole wall ones.

Unless Dave ever comes off that holy one of his. :D

And, I think BF had a few hiccups last night late. But seems normal this am.

hummmm .... still siting on it
prices tooooooo low
last hole blade i let go i got 230 for it and wish i still had it:foot:
there are less then 10
joe will likely have one at alanta and may sell....

 ...I know darn well that somewhere down the road I'm gonna be wanting one of those "side-holers" myself. Just that today they jus' don't inspire my appetite like the ol' classic wood n' metal knives. I'll admit I've become somewhat "smitten" with my inclusion of the bone or antler knives in my flock...but fer now I'm gonna jus' sit back and kick myself fer not bidding on that cutie and hope I don't see it up fer sale next week on "gagBay"...By the way...I jus' finished that 112 NS drop point conversion and it be BEEEEAAUUTIFUL...
When my kid gets home tomorrow I'll snap a few pics...Larry, you was right...I had a adware "bug" that wouldn't let me send email at all...All fixed now and I got some anti-biotics to keep 'em away...:D :D

Darryl,
You have to hold one in your hand before you can appreciate them. They're not a 110 but sure represent a modern interpretation and the finger grooves and lightness make for a great fit in my hand. Right now I have four variations and only need two more to call it a complete set. Indulge yourself and get one! :D

Mike,

Six Variations? would you mind a oneliner describing each please?

...You're right about me never having held one of those beauties Mike...I'm almost afraid to actually hold one...I have this "addiction" problem...

DarrylS, wish I didn't understand:o...but it's not like your injecting or inhaling:D. 'sides it's just one:p. Preston

wellll i use a side holler for edc and use right now and they are addective so DO not touch the HOLY knife...
how many matching blades ...
clidezt has one a black
there is a gold one
a sliver one
the gray i have polished
and a gray i sold
some one at buck in idaho has 4
and i will get one of thoes
sounds like 8 all togeather, i am sure that there are only 8
tho i can not recall were the silver and gold are
at one time i had 3
sold the black then sold the gray
and still have the polished one that is like joe's polished 186

Here is what I came up with based on what I have and what Dave has. 9 of them and I didn't count a polished one I have seen pics of... But I am brain dead so no telling....
Wall, is the wall of the hole.

Grey Vertical wall, offset edge, thick (older version)
Silver tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Gold Crystal tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Silver Crystal tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Smooth Black tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Textured Black tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Blade Holes Gold Crystal tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Blade Holes Silver tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner
Blade Holes Black tapered wall, no offset edge, thinner

ughhhh ther eare also the non 560 blades ones in most all fo thoes catagorys
many replacement blades were 110 marked blades ... and factory came out woith gold and silver with 110 marked blades..and a never seen befor gold blade 560 last week !
i have heard of several , but not yet seen any , of the 560 handle with an anvil stamp on the 110 blade !!! as i have not seen andy of the buck cote or ion fusion blades on a Ti 560 but have heard hey are out there also...
also heard of some with custom stamped blades but again i have not yet seen them ...
there are many strange buck 110 's verrants

i have a two liner with the buck stamp on the BACK side of the blade and had never even heard of one tell i got it !!! that is like a rare inverted 3 line ! they do exist jest ike the keabler elvieises i tellls ya! tha tis why so many collect buck 110 as there is no telling what is out there !!! dangress for the collector it is !!! may the force help you with your buckdiction...

Thanks,
Well, Let's see.....
1. The original 186, which is a 560 with the clip and can be taken apart.
2. A 560 which is gray with a darker gray in the holes. It's called the Xlti and was made between 1988 and 1993.
3. The Xlt-ti Chrystal version which was made in 2001.
4. Finally, a prototype 560 with light blue inside the holes and what looks like a natural titanium finish on the rest and has a gold plated blade.

I still need the gray and the black 560's that were made between 1993 and 1998. That should round out the collection, which I see as part of my 110 collection since they are a variation of the 110 (any knife that takes the 110 blade)

I know, I know....the definition of my collection is expanding! :o
