I just got a ZT 560 yesterday and I'm pretty sure my benchmade 950 rift will be on the sidelines and the 560 will be my new work horse. It is my understanding it has ball bearings where the blade rotates. (please correct me if im wrong there) for an edc knife that will be used regularly and get lint and dust on it like any other edc knife does the 560 require any special care to keep it flipping smoothly? When my benchmade would get a little stiff I would just put a drop of oil on it and it would be smooth as butter again, does the ZT require anything more than that? Thanks for the help

Also thanks to ZT for the great knife I love how light it is for its size.

The 560 has ball bearings set into a blue plastic washer. There are cutouts in the handle and the blade which they ride in. For the most part due to the design you wont get a huge amount of crud in there. If you do blow it out with some compressed air and then apply a couple drops of you favorite lubricant. That is all that is really needed. Though I doubt that you will even find the need to do so. If your really abusive on your knives and find yourself burying it in a sand pit for kicks you would flush the pivot with something like break free clp.

Compressed air should be good. If you get it wet a lot I'd put a bit of wd-40 in there to dislplace the moisture. Thats about it. Zt says no special lube needed.

Awesome, thanks for the tips, I won't be burying it in sand haha and the only moisture really will be from sweat in the summer so I think some wd-40 and oil now and then will do it from what you all say. Thanks again
