note to self: clips are not designed to handle stress of rapid vehicle egress.

Some aftermarket clips would be cool if someone would produce them. I like the deep carry style of the 560, but the retention isn't all that great. Just about any clip would bend like that though if you get it caught on something..

Although not a 560, I broke the clip on my 0400 while egressing from the truck at work. Caught it on webbing.

UH I hate that. I dont even want to buy any more spydercos for this reason. I bought a delica 4 and bent the clip bad the first day I got it in the mail. The next week my ffg delica came in and did the same thing the next day. I hate week pocket clips.

Did the same thing to my Spyd Military M390 the first day I got it.
Almost any clip will fail if you accidentally catch it on something and pull.

the hinderer clip will fit the 0560 there is also another option at knifekits.com they have a 3 dollar clip that will fit the 560 doesn't look as nice but it works

The clip on my 560 is so tight that the 3D G10 is starting to rip at my work pants from removing it/replacing it.

Looking forward to the S110V version.

I've heard that you can use sandpaper or emery cloth to smooth out the G10 under the clip to help solve that problem. Haven't tried it myself, though.

And yes, several of my jeans have some serious frays around my left pocket. Not just from the 0561, though, but all my knives that don't have a polished handle under the clip.

IMO clips should be designed to reject clipping onto things as much as clipping onto them. I like to bend the end of a clip way up, and then bend the very end sharply down, leaving about 1/16" to 1/8" space between the tip and the scale, with a hump right behind the tip. That way if you slide the clip along a flat surface the tip doesn't catch on everything. This won't particularly prevent it from catching on webbing, as is the case here, but I find it does make things better overall.
I have broken a few clips trying to shape them like this, to do a proper job it should probably be heated during the bending.

Also, I always adjust tension on the clip so that it doesn't actually touch the scale, but just leaves a few thousandths of an inch of gap. My pockets used to fray a lot but ever since I started loosening off the clips my pants have been wearing out from regular use before the pocket seam does.

I like mine to have just a tiny bit of contact so they don't "thrum" when I draw them. But aren't major tight.

thats cus you have the clip on the g10 side, the titanium side doesn't grip your jeans like that.
