I am having a problem with my 560's. I use a one-armed bandit and I am cutting my thumb on the sharp points on the finger choil. Anyone else experience this? What did you do about it?
Second part: One 560 is factory original and has broken pretty well, the second one just had a BG-42 blade installed and is taking much longer to break in. I attribute this to harder blade steel. What did you guys do to break these in? Mostly, I'm just working the joint alot, using breakfree as lube and hosing it out with WD-40 once in a while.
I really like these knives despite getting bit multiple times by that darn choil and want to carry them, but they have to get easier to open one handed, and have to quit bitting the hand that feeds them.
Thanks for your input. I sure am glad the forum is back up, I really enjoy reading everyone's posts.

Keep in mind that the 560 was not designed to be a one hand opener. I don't have a one armed bandit on mine so I can't comment on how well it works on the 560. I personally think the spring is a little too strong to make one handing easy, but YMMV.

You can break-in all you want but spring tension is spring tension. Also, I have found that the absence of lube accelerates the break-in process, especially if followed by a thorough cleaning and then lubing.
