My 560 would unlock easy for the first week I had it. This is the second week I have owned it, and it is getting real hard to unlock. I have not really cut anything and I tried putting pencil grafit on the lock. Any suggestions?

yeap, you should buy a 0550 and hey just your luck i have one for sale :D..hahaha..but on a real note..maybe it needs to be cleaned?..just keep working it in brotha and it should become smooth as butter.

More graphite and put it on the base of the blade where the lock makes contact. Do this while the knife is closed. Not sure what else to try. Are you careful not to put any pressure on the lock bar when closing? I sometimes had a hard time not doing that and had had to train myself a bit to put all of the pressure on two fingers right at the base of the clip and press so that I can hold the knife steady one handed to push the lockbar open but not put any pressure on the lockbar itself.

I've actually found the opposite to work for me. My lock was smooth when I got it, then it started to stick. It looked a bit dirty, and I carefully cleaned the tang engagement area (as well as the lock face) with a alcohol-soaked cotton swab and it worked just fine after that. If the lock is not sticky to begin with, but gets sticky, I'd say it's just dirty.

If cleaning doesnt work take it apart and put graphite or color with a sharpie on the lock face and blade tang. Its a titanium frame lock so it takes some breaking in. Mine did the same thing, the sharpie smoothed it out until it broke in now it never sticks.

As I learned with a skyline quark, just use the knife. It's new. It'll work itself out.

I sprayed it with brake parts cleaner. Seem to help, may do it again. I guess I got spoiled. My 301 was smooth as silk to unlock and has never stuck. Thanks for all replys.
