585 vs 586 blade shape

Hey all, wondering why the difference in blade shape between these two.. I have a 586 1401 shot show and am really growing fond of it as of late.. I gave my 585 to my brother . but I am realizing I like the 585 blade shape better.. wish I could find one in m390!!!

What are your thoughts? Do you notice a difference? Any idea why they are different?
 
Well, in hand they seem different.. the 586 has a higher grind that is thinner at the tip. Where as the 585 seems to not have as high as a grind and is stronger at the tip..

I just checked and you can notice it in pictures..

Maybe it's just me, someone with both models in hand verify? Jonearlt- where are ya?!
 
I've had several 585s and 586s and I noticed the same thing on all of them. The 585 has a good bit more belly on the blade and the upper grind is different. I got rid of the 586s because I didn't like the blade grind nearly as much as I dd the 585 grind.

I agree Dale.. the 585 grind is much more favorable in my opinion.. I just like the fact that the 586 has m390..
