I just cannot give up the single layer 58mm Vic's.
I've tried other things, but the 58mm Vic's are just the best most convenient way I've found to carry a nice little pair of scissors a set of tweezers and a homemade splinter pick .
I have found that I much prefer the permapic to the Vic toothpick, so on my 58mm's I replace the toothpick with a splinter pick made from a piece of SS windshield wiper insert.

Until Victorinox makes a mini pliers based multitool that includes the little scissors, tweezers, and a way I can carry a splinter pick, I will be pairing a 58mm Vic with some form of small pliers when I'm not at work.

Currently it's these Snapon 44acf, Vic jetsetter to nix the redundant knife blade, and the little Vic quattro driver to fill in the screwdriver capability.
