IMO, the 590 is greatly underrated... one of my go to EDC knives. I don't mind the assist, but I really hate the pinky bump. At least with the 590, I can squish my fingers together before the bump. It's the one reason I don't like carrying my Amicus (Arcane)... although I also take issue with the Amicus's slippery finish.
I have a feeling this pinky bump will be even more annoying on this smaller model. I'll have to handle one in store, as I really like the full liners, handle width, and grivory + over mold combo for general duty tasks. Unfortunately, that combo means I can't grind off the pinky bump without destroying the scales if needed.
