599 Fox Karambit G10 - Pocket clip too tight - help!

Recently purchased and received a 599 Fox Karambit G10. So far the knife seems fine with one exception. The pocket clip is extremely tight against the knife. I can't even clip it to my pocket it is so tight. I've tried to pull on the clip to bend it outward a little bit so it's not so tight, but metal seems to retain is current retension really well. Plus I'm afraid if I pull on the clip too much, I could strip the screws out of it. Anyone else see this problem with this knife? Any fixes for this?

I've never seen that particular knife in person. Something to try is to remove the clip and sand the G10 under the clip smooth. This relieves the friction sometimes caused by grippy G10. I've had this problem before and it seems to be even worse with denim. The G10 on my Emerson was extremely grippy when new.
