The 5OTG with brass bolsters. Began their run with 1095 in 1991, changed to Stainless Steel in 1993, and were discontinued in 2003. Some had the thumb stud for opening. They are still common on the auction site. As usual be careful, because I do believe they have an offshore version.

thanks i appreciate the lookout. yep they are getting mighty tricky. i have a 3OT and also one of the 5OT with the thumb stud but it has the one sided edge and want a normal one. love that size.

Yes that is an odd grind for the blade. I have a normal brown one with a sheath. Great knife size for me. I would be interested to know the history of the thumb stud on this pattern.

not being near an expert, and had a thread here before and it appears that they are erased, the stud was for easy opening with one hand and they had to make the grind that way to allow for it to have the stud and be straight on the stud side of the blade.

will be receiving my new addition soon and will post photos of it. so there is a brown handled one too. wish someone would share photos of that, hint hint.

I see Herman chose a 5OT there with 1095? I think a lot of them were marked SCHRADE+. That is awesome Stag.
