Hi, this was a gift from a co-worker...a Copenhagen Shrade. brand new. There is no model # markings....I know now it's not a 5OT, would someone here happen to be able to identify this knife?
Also, He has the entire cope set and the Skoal set. I believe 4 or 5 knives per set. I want to make him an offer to purchase......what do you think would be a reasonable offer. He does not know much about knives, but I would like be fair in a price and not rip him off, but still get a deal. Thanks, John

John,
What are the dimensions of the knife (closed, open). That may make it easier (for me anyways) to identify. It's an LB, I believe but I don't know which one without knowing length. I've found that most of the cope/skoal knives are going for about 20-30 each depending on condition and if they're in a box, etc. Not sure if it helps but there are people with a lot more knowledge who will probably follow up after me that can help you more than I can.

O.K. closed it is 3 3/4". open it is 6 1/2". dlade is 2 3/4" Thanks for the help. John

definately an LB5, as far as buying thw whole sets, offer him what you would consider fair ammount-what you think they are worth, like said before, most cope/skoal knives are going from $20-$30 each so see if $100 a set makes him happy if it does then you get a decent deal, he unloads some knives and you're both happy

John, I believe that your knife is a COPE5. I'd have to do some searching, but the shield with wings indicates that the knife was mase after 1994. I'll see what I can find on it. As you can tell by the thread linked above, there were quite a few Schrade knives made for U.S. Tobacco over the years. SOme were product promos, with badging and etches either SKOAL or COPENHAGEN. And a lot were made for event promotions. U.S.T. sponsored Don Prudhome racing, Harry Gant, Pro Rodeo, and a lot more. Ever heard of Walt Garrison? He was a principal of U.S.T., Dallas Cowboy, and rodeo star. And he became a spokesman for Schrade.

Yep, that's it, an LB 5.....easy to see now that I have a model # to do a search with. Thank-you everybody for the help. $100.00 bucks a set was what I was figuring too...good to see others came up with the same assesment. Peace, John
