5th P2 and a keeper!

I've had 5 Para 2s now and I am (pretty) darn sure this a keeper. I've had a black/satin, digi/satin, digi/black, orange sprint and now the brown S35VN. The first one I traded because someone wanted it so bad they couldn't sleep. The digi's I liked but I had a chance to get a Sebenza and used as trade bait and the orange was just to purdy to get much use. The brown seems just right. Enough color to make it nice but still a bit subdued and good enough steel for anything I'll throw at it. It's gonna be a user and it does well.

Thats my favorite Para 2, and my user as well.

I'm not much on bright colors(heck, I won't even put on a bright colored shirt:o), and the brown doesn't look as scary to some folks as a black knife. S35VN may not be up there with S90V, M390, etc... in edge holding, but it still holds a great edge, is a very tough steel, and its not hard to sharpen. A great all around steel IMO.

Great pics:thumbup:

That's a real nice one, i been eye balling one a those for a while now.

I still have not been able to get one. Very nice pictures, Steve, make me want it even more.

The brown did not garner the fanfare of the Carpenter & Bohler models but it is a great combo with a decent price tag and still a hard to get PM2. You have to wonder if Spyderco offered the "customize" your PM2 like BM does with the grip just how many more they might sell. Then again, they can't keep up as it is!

I remember my 5th Para2. /sigh :D

For some reason that reminds me of a former hobby. I used to buy/sell/trade sports cards that were more expensive than a Hinderer, but after a few years it got ridiculous. In the end it's cardboard! With a knife I can at least slice a cucumber, zip tie, etc.. With a Mantle rookie all I could do was look at it! Well maybe a Kung Foo master could slice a 'mater with it. :D

I have one of those and it is great. I also have the blue one and it is my EDC. I want the upcoming green one but I'm not sure if I can get one. I've thought about getting a digicam model and doing the red dye treatment on it.

I've got a digi/satin, but the brown is very tempting. I usually don't buy multiple versions of the same Spydie model (That road leads to chaos!), but I'm really tempted........

My favorite! Congratz.
Wit till you see the Recluse Brown Para. :)
Satin the clip.

Nice pics. The Para 2 S35v has become one of my favorites and while I was not excited about the brown G10 initially I have grown very fond of it.

I've got my first PM2 inbound - vanilla S30V. Would like to get a brown one someday.......

great looking knife! is your lock sticky at all?

No, of the 5 P2s this one is truly the smoothest and the smoothest Spyderco since my CPMD2 Para 1. Just enough detent to be safe but when I disengage the lock the blade will fall. No play in any direction. I'm tickled "brown"!
