I was snooping around one of my favorite haunts and spotted a 110 that looked a bit different.

The clip point seemed longer and somewhat narrower(the blade also).

It had three lines, didn't have one like that and was in good condition...it came home with me. Preston

Here it is...

Thats the version and variation I'd call it. Very knice nife preston, much better than just good condition for sure. I just love the old 440c's. Theyre timeless from a different time.

Preston, Thanks for posting the photos . I eat this up !! Hope you got a good buy on it as they're worth $100 . You nailed it down correctly, 1972-73 . Ima, posted a photo of his a while back . So, you have a nice 'honey hole' somewhere too . Better keep quiet about those fishing spots . DM

Thanks for looking and the nice comments. The older I get the more I appreciate the older Bucks...especially the ones in good shape:D.

David, if it's worth that much then I got a very good deal...about $25:thumbup:.

I call it a honey hole but it's well traveled so I was real lucky to get this one. It's a big flea/antique mall...I think you just have to be in the right place at the right time. I got a three dot 112 at the same place but different vendor. Preston

yes you scored a good one there !
that clip does look longer by a smig!
compared to today the early 110's were a semi-hand made knife
this allowed for each one to have it s own personally so to speak
from the person that shaped the blade ..
i have one that is so full in the belly
that it has a skinner type look to it..
yes the older ones have a "look" that grows on you ..

Preston, You did indeed . I've seen bidders give more for one on the bay with box, sheath and paperwork in new condition . I've bought that same year model at one of my honey holes for what you gave and it had abused ebony so I sent it to Leroy and he put new matching slabs on it for 60$ and polished it . It's like new now and I still think I got a good buy . The only other 110 stamped w/ 3 lines is the inverted from early 1972, no other difference . You did real good ! Check that place often . DM :)

DM, I will and do have a few other places that I check on a regular basis. Plus any other places that look like they might be a possible hidy-hole for Bucks.

yes the older ones have a "look" that grows on you ..

Yeah, the only thing(about old Bucks) that doesn't grow on me...is the money to buy them as I would like;). Preston
