For those who don't know Kevin contributes quite a lot to the Traditional forum (others as well) and is always willing to add his knowledge and opinions to our little corner of the interwebs. He's definitely one of the good guys :thumbup:

Thanks Nathan for putting this up! As much as I don't know how to respond it was quite a cool surprise. I was just logging on to email you and I found this. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I guess I have been blabbing a lot :eek: :D

What a day today. I saw the coolest thing ever; laying on the river raft with my girlfriend. Under the shade of a tree about to drift off in a deep relaxed state, I spotted a newborn deer making its first hobbly and hesitant steps to the river. We watched it take its first drink from the river. It was quite a cool moment. Then to come back to something as nice as this. I could not have asked for a better day.

BTW P, the old avatar was my GSD Rocky. Here is the only scan I can find of an old BW print I made in the lab.

Thanks Nathan for pointing this out, Kevin...if we were standing in a pub, I would shout you a beer my friend, in fact I would love the opportunity one day to meet the great friends I have "met" here.

Thank you everyone! I really don't know what to say.

Fausto - the feeling is mutual. Its funny how you can actually make real friends online. It may seem impossible, but its obviously not.

Duncan - that would be an awesome experience. Even more so if I ever make it to your part of the world. I have a feeling I would be in for a whole lot of fun and an adventure.

This is a group of friends that has real comraderie. With such good people that do care about one another its easy to see why.

As a mod on another (watch) forum I know that a forum is only as good as its members' posts, and regular members make up the backbone. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about knives and discussing them with everyone, even noobs like me ;)
