I love the Salyan. That's one gosh-darn good looking knife. But heck, I like them all. Somebody take them home and put me out of my misery.:D

Lovely, beautiful....
Some old 40's and 50's love songs would be spot on for Yangdu's continuing parade of top of the line tools at Workingman prices.

It's kinda cool just to sit here and watch them.

Well all beautiful, and poised to strike, but must control the virus!!! Good luck guys. I'm not going for it today.

Man I want that sword..but I better not. If it's still there in a couple of hours, maybe.

Great pictures as always Yangdu. Really makes you want to sink the tip of those knives in that stump.

Andy

I love your pics Yangdu! Great use of the tree stump. (-:

Guys, that is only the third horn handled Manjushri made, and the second that was not a blem for cracks.

Dave has the very first, I have the second that has a cracked handle, and this is the 3rd and the handle is fine. $60 off for some rust can't be beat!

I'm with Munk, and am getting weaned on the need to spend $250 a week on knives. (At least until another Falcata is dangled in the water!) Just looking at these is fun. If I were sharking both the Salyan and the Dui Chirra with minor cracks would be in my sights...

Thanks,

Norm

If I were a man of leisure and wealth that Dui Chirra would have been eaten before the toastettes from the Butler's tray had cooled...

AArrrgghhhh! Must resist, infection spreading; I have a positive balance on the PayPal account for once! Mustn't ruin it...

Oh, whatthathell! Email sent on the Dui Chirra. First knife in 3 weeks. A new record.

I need to setup some meetings for us I guess:

"Hi, my name is Norm and I'm an HIKV addict."
 ;)

LOL! What a great turn of phrase Munk! I'm not a man of wealth and leisure, but unfortunately I had a positive balance on my PP account because of some sales (the proceeds which were intended to fund _other_ purchases).

Oh well, there's always next month. Unless Yangdu shamelessly offers up other enticements, in which case there's always next year. :D

N.

P.S: Hmmm, no updates or confirmation, which means Yangdu posted and will be back after lunch. I may have been too late then...

P.P.S. No, I was able to get it! Guess Sassas didn't want a third one. ;)

Loooovely stuff, as usual.

But no Sarge knives today, which would be my particular bane. Or baby chitlangis, calling ever so softly to the Dark Side. I do love the buttcap on the Salyan!

13 inch 13 ounce Katunje my special by Kumar. Small grain imperfection in horn handle put it in the blem box. $65 YBB.

How I wish I could afford to get that sword!!:( Those are soo beautiful. Oh well. Must become one with my broke state.
Yangdu, others have said it before, but your pictures show great composition and vision. I am always impressed when I see the great shots you folk with the EYE can get. I rarely get that certain something in my shots you do. Awesome!!

Yargh! Cannot resist! Mail sent on the Chiruwa AK... :D

Thank You. My Amtrak Kami Kobra is a great blades and I have a ton o' AKs.

Also thanks on the sword - that's almost a half pound heavier than mine and I think the extra weight will be a real benefit in how it handles.

I'm missing my chandan Foxy that I traded... Get it soon or forever hold your peace. I've learned quickly that cracks, much like scars, are the price of an interesting life.

The "standard" manjushri has always been 27.5" and a bit over 2 pounds. Most of the earlier ones were around 36 oz. I have one at 36 oz. and one at 32 oz. To me 26 oz. would be too light, but this weight today is just about perfect.
