6 Inch Blade with a Good Grind

I've been looking around for a larger bush knife. Preferably something with a saber grind. Really, something like an ESEE 6 with a saber grind would be perfect, but options like that seem to be scarce, especially as certain Becker options like the Ritter BK-12 are discontinued.

Anyone know of something solid like that?

In my searching, I've found one option from a place called Architect Knives, that I've never heard of. They make what appears to be just an ESEE 6 copy with a saber grind with two options, one in CPM S35VN and the other in 1095, made by White River Knives and by TOPS, respectively. Links below.

Anyone have any thoughts on these? Just cautious of a company I've never heard of. Any other recommendations?

Thank you,

Scrapyard often makes some descent camp knives that are priced nice. They have a new big one with the Regulator handle option

Joker Nomad 6.5, 440C(N695), made in Spain, is quite well regarded
Lion Steel M7, Sleipner steel, made in Italy
White River FC7, S35VN, made in US
Condor has some interesting design that fit your criteria

S Sackcloth - Welcome to blade forums.

The little experience I have with Architect Knives has been good. Ive carried a 4.5 for a few months now and it does everything I need it to do. The 6.5 is most likely the closest thing you'll find comparable to a saber ground Esee 6.. Great knife too. Whats the budget look like ? You have quite a few makers on here that could make you a knife that checks the boxes. Lionsteel T6 might fit the bill as well - close in size to Esee 6 but a little more refined and overbuilt.

Becker Ritter ( rowen made )
Lionsteel T6
Esee 6

Very similar sizes.

Oh that Ritter, wish they were still around. So pretty.

Price range, I was looking to keep it around the ESEE 6 range. But I see Architect offers this 6.5 in S35VN instead of just 1095 so I have to consider spending more money now.
Not opposed to custom work, that's what I've typically done when I get a knife itch. Was thinking about being an off the shelf consumer for once, though.

Thank you,
Randall Made has several models that might fit your needs.

Their model 5 Camp and Trail as well as their model 25 Trapper can be had with a 6" blade in either a carbon steel or a stainless formulation. I just do not know exactly which steels they use. knives But those would be my choices. There are others, some are as hefty as any Bowe style knife. I am sure that you can find a suitable "camp knife" at Randall Made.
